Psychological benefits can also include an increase in self-confidence, decreased cravings for tobacco and food, better sleep, an increased ability to relax, improved concentration as well as a reduced likelihood of depression. It is a discipline designed to enable self-awareness.

Do drink water, both before and after your practice in order to keep your body well hydrated. A lot of the benefit's you will get from yoga are mental.
