The nine main styles of Yoga are: Bhakti, Hatha, Jnana, Karma, Kundalini, Mantra, Raja, Tantric, and Yantra Yoga. Although most people have heard about Yoga, not so many know much about it.

By using a series of poses and breathing techniques, yoga also works on the practitioner's balance, strength and overall health. Unlike traditional weight building exercises, in yoga your body provides the resistance. Aerobic exercise is great for burning calories, and strength training works very well for strengthening your muscle groups, but yoga goes far beyond either of those forms of exercise and can benefit you both physically and mentally.

Beginner yoga mat is necessary for the people who are new to yoga. Once you look at these points, you will feel more comfortable at the yoga class. Move around rather than stay in front.

If you begin to feel more spiritual it's probably because you are more in tune with your body and life than you were before you started doing yoga. Have fun and enjoy everything along the way!
