Teachers should obtain sufficient training and education in yogic philosophy, anatomy, asanas, and pranayama. The nine main styles of Yoga are: Bhakti, Hatha, Jnana, Karma, Kundalini, Mantra, Raja, Tantric, and Yantra Yoga.

It benefits people with heart disease, back problems, and asthma. Your complete health will improve exponentially, as a result of regular Yoga practice. A significant number of people, especially as they began to get older, start to have problems with balance, which can lead to major injuries due to falls.

I strongly recommend you consult with your yoga teacher who could give you specific direction. If at any point during your practice, you begin to feel pain, either ease up a little, or come out of the pose. It would be pointless, if your body were doing the practice while your mind were busy sorting out some other worries.

Yoga is not what you keep to yourself, bring in one or two friends and have a good time. So just sign up.
