As with everything in life, yoga is effective but it will only work if you work at it. It is very beneficial to pay careful attention to the breath and to learn to control it in various ways.

Don't be afraid of the clothes form fitting stretchiness. Simply getting down in push up position and trying to hold that position would give you a tough workout. Tension, anxiety, and worry, are a natural part of daily life, but Yoga allows us to decipher the real from the imaginary.

Physical benefits which you can anticipate are improved efficiency of the lungs, better use of your respiratory muscles, improved flexibility of the joints, improved coordination and muscle tone, maintenance of bone density, reduced risk of injury as well as the prevention of weight gain. Yoga can become a lifestyle because there is no torture. But if you're looking to make it just a little bit better, becoming a yoga instructor may be the way to do it.

You can't change it overnight. Yoga is a discipline like any other, and so the benefits you get from it will depend on the degree to which you practice Yoga, however if you do so regularly, don t be surprised to find your overall health increasing.
